They say that good things come to those who wait. In this instance, that is most definitely the case. The original `Dangerous Dub’ album was released in Jamaica in 1981 (and finally gained a Greensleeves release in the UK in 1996) and is regarded by those who know as one of the “must have” dub albums.
So here we have `More Dangerous Dub’, which like its predecessor is no less than essential. All the ingredients are here, with 13 hard-as-nails rhythm tracks by the Roots Radics, recorded at Channel One Studio and mixed at King Tubbys by Jah Screw, King Tubby & Soldgie.
These tracks have never been released before in any form. Some of these rhythms will be familiar (an unreleased dub version of Barrington Levy’s `Here I Come’, for instance), and others will be new to your ears.
There will be a limited press on LP for the vinyl “heads”.
A sure fire essential addition to any dub and classic reggae collection. Dangerous indeed!
13 track CD / 10 track LP.
