Most Wanted

The 'Most Wanted' series continues with a fantastic collection of tracks from the late great Ranking Dread who released five 12inch singles on Greensleeves during 1981 and 1982. Here they are on CD for the very first time, featured here in their full glory alongside five heavyweight dub versions that appeared on the B-sides of the original 12" pressings. Also featured is a track called 'Jean Green' that only ever appeared on a various artists album entitled 'Whole New Generation Of DJ' on Greensleeves in 1981.

Ranking Dread had a huge hit with 'Love a Dub' and later hit the UK Top 25 in 1981 with the huge hit 'Fattie Boom Boom' which went on to sell over 13,000 copies.

All the tracks featured on this set were produced by Ranking Dread, with the exception of 'Jean Green', which was produced by Henry "Junjo" Lawes. This set features the talents of Sly & Robbie, Roots Radics, Jackie Mittoo and Scientist.

The CD booklet will contain liner notes and archive unseen photographs.

Although Ranking Dread's recordings were few and far between, his recordings are highly collectable and on top of that, very memorable. This is a slice of musical history, not to be missed.

The 'Most Wanted' series has gone from strength to strength with two hugely successful releases so far from Wailing Souls and Yellowman with more to come.
